Teddy Escape the Chapter

Keys, tools, and an exit that does not care about your highlight reel.

How to Escape Teddy Roblox Maps

Survival keeps you alive. Escape pays the badge. Teddy chapters are short heists: find the items the map invented, open the locks in an order the timer allows, and leave through the door the cutscene promised. This page is the generic route brain. Specific props live on the chapter walkthroughs.

Read the win condition in the cutscene

Every chapter tells you what “done” looks like. Nursery is a daycare leave. Camp is a darker get-out. Toy Store wants a parent, a toy, or a door that is not the entrance. Zoo adds rescue flavor and extra tools. If you skip so fast you miss the line, you will solve a side room and die proud. Watch once. Skip later.

Pair this with the matching page: Chapter 0, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5. Tick boxes on the chapter checklist so “I think we did the generator” is not a strategy.

Sweep in rings, not in panic

Clear the rooms beside spawn first. Pick up the obvious key. Unlock the nearest progress door. Then expand. Players who run the map perimeter on minute one die in a wing that had no item. Players who stall in spawn die to the timer. The middle path is a ring that grows.

When you find a tool that is unique to the chapter — batteries, silver tools, fish, cogs — treat it as a named objective, not loot. Those items exist because a later interact needs them. If you do not know the interact, you opened the walkthrough too late. Open it now.

Last lock discipline

The last lock is where teams wipe. Everyone has a key energy. Everyone sprints. Teddy, human or AI, learns that room. Walk the last approach. Crouch if audio is near. Close the door you came through. Interact once, not twelve times. Then leave. Do not pose. Do not shop. Do not type a paragraph.

If a teammate is downed on the last lock, decide in one second. In AI mode, a downed friend is gone and you should still exit. In Nightmare, a downed friend may become a hunter in that doorway. Leaving is not betrayal. It is how badges exist.

When the bear camps the exit

You need a second body. One player makes noise in a side room. One player walks the lock. If you are solo, you need a hide window from the hide-spot tool and a patience the timer may not give. That is why six-player lobbies feel fairer than two-player dare queues.

Honey on the exit means a human Teddy read how to play as Teddy. Do not step in it “to see.” Walk around or wait out the trap if the design allows. If it does not allow, you need a teammate to eat it on purpose. Say that in three words, not a speech.

Timer versus pride

A clean escape with one leftover decorative item is still an escape. A wipe with every secret toy collected is still a wipe. Seasonal events can add extra pickups; those are events goals, not chapter goals. Do the badge first. Farm candy later.

If your group keeps failing the same chapter, drop a mode. AI is the practice league. Player Teddy is a PvP exam. Nightmare is a group project with extra students who want you dead. The modes tier exists so the vote is a choice, not a reflex.

Escape is a habit. Run the same chapter until the ring sweep is boring. Boring is how people get Chapter Four at 1.5 percent win rate instead of never.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask after a failed escape.

Do I have to save every teammate to escape?

No. The exit pays the chapter badge. Nightmare can even punish a rescue. See [Nightmare mode](/guides/nightmare-mode/).

What if we cannot find the last item?

Reset the ring sweep from spawn rooms and open the chapter walkthrough. The [chapter checklist](/tools/chapter-checklist/) stops duplicate rooms.

Should we split or stack?

Split for search, stack only for a lock that needs four hands. Stacking is how one hug ends the lobby.

Does leaving early void Puzzle Pieces?

Play the round out when you can. Pieces and badges are covered in the [shop](/players/shop/) and [badges](/players/badges/) pages.
