What The Hatch was
Roblox ran a platform-wide egg hunt from 2 July to 12 July 2025. Experiences sat in biomes. Teddy was listed under Connection eggs, next to other social and horror places. Players entered from The Hatch hub, picked Teddy, then searched the voted chapter for an event egg. The in-place toast is The Hatch (2025).
That is not Chapter 5. Chapter Five is Teddy’s Pizza Place, added in October 2025. Mixing those names is how a lobby votes pizza looking for an egg.
How the hunt worked when it was live
- Join The Hatch hub, not a random “egg staff” Discord.
- Enter the Connection biome and pick Teddy by GnomeCode — place

- Vote AI unless the group wants chaos.
- Do the normal escape from how to escape.
- Add the egg as a last ring. Reports put some eggs outside near a Chapter 1 fence; locations rotated. We will not invent a permanent coordinate.
- Leave. The badge fires on pickup, not on a keypad string.
If you stacked six kids on one spawn, you donated a hug. Split pairs. The hide-spot tool still applied when the bear walked the holiday path.
What The Hatch was not
It was not a promo code. The Codes Hub stayed empty. It was not Teddy Escape. It was not the unrelated developer controversy around a different account named OfficialTeddy. GnomeCode’s place kept its own badge and its own egg. Do not paste boycott threads into a six-player callout.
