Teddy Modes Tier List Guide

Teddy’s mode vote is as important as the chapter vote and gets less respect. People click Nightmare because the word is funny. Then they type “why two bears.” This list ranks modes for a mixed six-player lobby that wants an escape more than a clip.

S — Nightmare (threat)

Nightmare mode is S-tier danger. Infection turns a downed kid into another hunter. Small Teddies use baby paths. Honey still exists for the original bear. You can escape it. You should not learn crouch in it. Rank it S for wipe risk, B for teaching, A for creators.

A — Player

Player mode is the honey class. One human becomes Teddy with a limited jar stack. The round becomes a mind game: noise bait versus objective camping. It is the correct vote when at least one person has read how to play as Teddy and the rest have read how to survive. It is a poor vote when five people want a casual PvE and one person bought Double Teddy Chance for chaos.

If the hunter disconnects, AI often takes over. That conversion can feel like a mercy or a sudden pathing change. Do not depend on a rage-quit.

B — AI

AI is the classroom and the badge farm. The server drives the monster. No honey. Slight door delay on wood. This is S-tier for learning and B-tier for highlight reels. Almost every walkthrough on this wiki assumes AI unless it says otherwise. Getting Started tells you to live here for two Nursery clears.

AI is also how you practice a map after a Player wipe without arguing about who “got the role again.”

How modes interact with maps

Nursery AI is the onboarding pair. Nursery Player is a honey tutorial. Nursery Nightmare is the fairest dare. Zoo AI is already an exam. Zoo Player can be survivable because the mesh is large and the map is wide. Zoo Nightmare is a coin flip with extra coins. See the maps tier before you combine S with S.

Passes and modes

Double Teddy Chance only matters in Player and Nightmare votes. It does nothing in a pure AI night except spend 120 Robux. Double Pieces matters in every mode because payouts still happen. Rank those buys on the game pass tier.

Lobby script

Say the mode out loud. “AI Nursery” is a sentence. “Whatever” is how you get Nightmare Camp. If you are the only person who wants Player, you can still get the role — do not sulk in chat when the kids leave. Play the hunt, then vote AI for the next badge.

Saying the vote out loud

Type the mode in chat before the thumbnail locks. “AI Camp” is a contract. “idc” is how a new player meets infection. If you lose the vote, play the contract anyway or leave before the cutscene. Mid-round complaints do not change honey.

Host habits matter. If you always force Nightmare, your friend list will shrink to people who like clips. If you always force AI, hunter mains will bounce. Alternate. The Roles hub is how you explain why.

Modes are why Teddy still feels like three games in one favorite. Click the one you meant.

After a bad vote

Play the round you got. Then type the next mode before thumbnails appear. Habits beat luck.
